4th quarter: Final Project
Lukasa Mnemonic Board
You will be creating your own Lukasa Mnemonic board. You will be using this as a tool to give an impromptu speech as our quarter winds to a close. The board should be made out of wood (you can use any stick, log, or board you find. Please see me immediately if you feel this might pose a problem) and beads, clay, felt, found objects, etc to decorate the surface. On this board you will attach objects to help you tell the story of your life thus far. Remember, these boards often contained secrets so you may attach whatever devices you would like without needing to describe every event on your board to me or your classmates. However, you will have to share at least one story from your board in an impromptu performance. You must include devices on your board to represent each story in your scrapbook. This will be the final piece of art you turn in for your projects class this year. Make sure to invest the time and energy into this project to make it something worth hanging on to.
